A self-starter and independent thinker, Alan has spent over 30 years as a freelance copywriter and messaging strategist. His strength is in understanding complex products and markets and then crafting a messaging strategy and copy that speak to the unique sensibilities of every stakeholder. Alan specializes in B2B work, with a focus on the industrial and high-tech sectors; his clients are located throughout North America and around the world. He is a 1983 finalist for the Mahen Award for short fiction, winner of the 1999 New York Art Directors’ Club Gold Medal for video scripting, and recipient of a 1991 Anna Davidson Award for international poetry. Alan lives and writes from his home outside Asheville, NC.
