Engineer by trade and a marketer at heart, Laurel Burton is an EVP of Account Strategy who is passionate about helping technology companies gain a competitive edge with their marketing, sales, product, and positioning strategies. She has spent the last 20+ years collaborating with colocation, cloud, software and telecom organizations to build memorable brands and revenue-generating go-to-market programs that drive interest and opportunity.
Prior to JSA Laurel served as VP of Marketing and Product Management for Otava, a leader in compliant cloud and colocation services. Previously she was VP of Marketing at Faction, a cloud service provider, VP of Marketing and Business Development at ViaWest (now Flexential), a large data center and managed services provider, and she held leadership positions at Qwest Communications.
In her recent past Laurel also owned and managed a Fractional CMO agency that successfully helped transform organizations of all sizes into thriving powerhouses. Clients included: World Trade Center, Denver, Optiv, Synoptek, Otava, Aligned Energy, IQ Wired, Nuvalo, Neudesic, Morpheus Data and more.
Laurel received both a Master in Telecom Engineering degree as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Colorado. In her spare time you can find her outdoors enjoying Colorado mountain living with her 110 lb. Mastiff ‘Norma’ by her side.
