Next week, JSA will be hosting the second “meet & eats” Virtual Roundtable of 2020 titled “MicroEdge: Where Is It and Where Is It Heading?”. Edge computing in combination with micro data centers and micro services continue to increase in popularity, value and abundance. Micro data centers enable edge computing in locations where dedicated IT space is unavailable, impractical or cost-prohibitive, while microservices sit at the edge and support IoT platforms in order to generate the smallest footprint and consume as little compute resources as possible.
The Virtual Roundtable on February 20 at 1 PM ET, led by moderator Gerry Christensen of Mind Commerce featuring speakers Phillip Marangella, EdgeConneX; Greg Pettine, EdgeMicro; Doug Recker, EdgePresence; and Hugh Carspecken, DartPoints; will explore the buzz around edge computing, and what trends, challenges, opportunities and success stories exist for the MicroEdge.
JSA Events will be coordinating the delivery of a complimentary lunch for the first 100 people to register to enjoy while watching the Virtual Roundtable. Choose from a variety of restaurants in your local area, or simply select a gift card to use to purchase lunch.
