Alison Boen, Senior VP of Sales and Marketing at DataNovaX, an innovative Build-to-Suit data center provider, is enthusiastically joining attendees at the Regional WiMCO® (Women in Mission Critical Operations) Tech Summit this week in The Woodlands, Texas. The dynamic event, July 16-18, brings together hundreds of women to discuss the latest challenges and opportunities in the data center, infrastructure and related industries.
WiMCO is a dedicated initiative by 7×24 Exchange aimed at increasing the engagement and participation of women in the mission-critical space. Recognizing the importance of diversity and inclusion, WiMCO focuses on several key areas to support and empower women in this industry, including:
- Recruiting women into the 7×24 Exchange organization
- Supporting WiMCO initiatives at the Chapter level
- Promoting mission critical opportunities for women
- Providing leadership opportunities through the community
- Developing and supporting STEM initiatives, curriculums, scholarships, and programs
During the event, Allison will hobnob with fellow attendees, sharing her insights and experiences as a recognized industry expert with more than 30 years of core data center design and construction experience. Allison is also a passionate advocate for women’s participation in STEM and mission critical industries, a key WiMCO priority, and has been recognized for her industry work through numerous awards and as an Honored Judge for the Data Cloud Global Awards 2022, 2023 and 2024. She is also a longtime member of 7×24 Exchange, the parent organization of WiMCO, which seeks to improve end-to-end reliability by promoting dialog among those who design, build, operate and maintain mission critical enterprises and informational infrastructures.
Allison is currently excited about her latest endeavor, working with DataNovaX in the development of the $1 billion Pioneer Park Build-to-Suit data center campus in Wichita Falls, Texas.
