Trangistics, leading logistics partner for high-tech construction projects, is celebrating a significant milestone in its partnership with United Integrated Services (UIS). 2024 marks the first anniversary of the partnership, which is currently supporting a record-setting $40 billion microchip factory in Arizona.
The most advanced semiconductor facility in the country and one of the largest direct foreign investments in the history of the United States, the new factory will produce 25,000 microchips per month for premier clients such as Apple, Amazon, and NVIDIA once fully operational.
“It’s exciting to be part of such an important project,” explains Trangistics CEO Joey Hougham. “We are immensely proud to contribute our expertise to this innovative undertaking.”
In addition to the large scale of the project, which includes more than 10,000 active UIS workers on site daily, there is also a cross-cultural element to logistics, as many of the needed materials are being shipped from Taiwan. Trangistics has demonstrated its invaluable logistical expertise over the last year as it manages these operational and cultural complexities.
While Phase One of the process is expected to begin producing microchips early next year (2025), Trangistics plans to continue with the partnership through all phases and potentially into new projects.
