T5 Data Centers, the telecommunication industry’s only full lifecycle data center partner, has named Dave Ryan as the company’s Site Operations Manager in Ireland, officially establishing T5’s presence in the European Union. He will oversee data center development in the UK and EU, from construction to commissioning and lead the onsite operations team upon project completion, as well as acting as technical liaison for ongoing international opportunities.

Dave joined T5 to oversee initial development of the company’s Cork asset and network. T5’s Ireland campus is a 32.5-acre, 46-MW dedicated data center campus with full planning permission for two enterprise facilities of 7 MW each and a cloud-targeted facility of 32 MW. As with all T5 facilities, each data center can be customized to accommodate any enterprise-grade or cloud computing deployment.

Upon completion, the facility will be fully managed by the T5 Facilities Management (T5FM) team. The team is responsible for T5’s record of 100 percent uptime and recently achieved the milestone of 2.5 million hours worked without a lost-time injury.

With a diverse background in data center technologies from the Irish Management Institute and Technological University Dublin, Dave brings unique skills to the role, including data center facilities management experience with Microsoft and Amazon, where his focus on quality and environmental, health and safety were instrumental to successful site operations.
