RadiusDC Acquires Data Center in Miami

RadiusDC Turns Up the Heat with Acquisition of Network-Centric Data Center in Miami

RadiusDC, a national owner and operator of highly connected, urban-located data centers, announced its expansion into the Sunshine State with the acquisition of Miami I, one of the most highly interconnected data centers in the South Florida market. Acquired from NextStream, Miami I is a two-story building with approximately 170,000 square feet of data center space.

RadiusDC anticipates that Miami I has the potential to support over 15 MW of critical IT power capacity, positioning it as a powerhouse in the region’s data infrastructure landscape. This carrier-neutral, telecommunications-focused data center is strategically designed to handle latency-sensitive workloads, making it a vital asset for businesses operating in and around the South Florida area.

“We believe Miami I is an ideal asset to expand the geographic reach of our connectivity-focused platform given the strength of its existing network and immediately available growth potential,” stated Mike Krza, Chief Executive Officer of RadiusDC. “We are excited to deliver new strategic data center capacity in the South Florida market over the coming year.”

Through its support from IPI, the largest privately held global investment platform exclusively focused on data centers, RadiusDC plans to immediately further invest in Miami I. The data center provider will expand the site’s capacity from 3.2 MW to 9.2 MW of critical IT power capacity with the initial phase of construction to be completed during the first half of 2026.

Additionally, the facility’s robust design, built to withstand Category 5 hurricane winds,  underscores its commitment to providing exceptional data security. It also features a significant “meet-me-room” offering scalable connectivity options. This vital hub within the data center is equipped to support 11 major fiber optic and network service providers, ensuring that clients have access to a wide array of reliable, high-performance network services.

As RadiusDC continues to expand, it is set to provide the capacity and connectivity needed to support growing data-processing demand in South Florida and beyond.
