Prime announced today it is stepping into the Phoenix market with expansive plans for a data center campus in Avondale.
Prime Phoenix will consist of a five-building, 66.5-acre, high-density campus featuring 210 megawatts of critical power and 1.3 million square feet of space. The sustainable campus supports Prime’s commitment to providing the highest technology while still aiding in its mission of water conservation and energy efficiency.
“It is with great pleasure that we welcome Prime to Avondale. With Prime’s data center campus and investment of more than two billion dollars, Avondale is poised to become a next-generation technology hub.” – Kenneth Weise, Avondale Mayor
Prime chose Phoenix for several reasons. The Phoenix market offers a compelling total cost of ownership to hyperscale data center buyers, as well as developers and operators. The area also continues to maintain strong supply and demand fundamentals, atrributable to the interest of top hyperscale and wholesale data center buyers. Prime’s planned campus provides long-term growth capability, which means it will be able to support the aggressive growth trajectory of the wholesale and hyperscale community for years to come.
Prime currently has data center facilities in operation or under construction in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Santa Clara, Sacramento and Denmark. The first data center at the Avondale campus will provide 260,400 square feet and 42 critical megawatts and has projected its completion for Q3 2025.
