Prime Data Centers Appoints Steve Benson Vice President of Critical Operations

Amid a rapid growth period, Prime Data Centers, a wholesale data center developer and operator, continues to expand and strengthen its leadership team. With the recent addition of Steve Benson, Vice President of Critical Operations, Prime is poised to meet today’s demands and challenges from all angles. 

In his new position, Benson will lead the critical operations of Prime’s global data center portfolio to include all 24×7 mission-critical operations, data center commissioning and SLAs. In addition, he will lead the company’s green data center initiatives, which are critical in today’s digital infrastructure ecosystem.

Benson’s more than 20 years of experience, including leading the critical operations for global cloud providers, data centers and telecommunications operators; as a nuclear facilities manager for the U.S. Navy, and most recently, he led a team managing the technical infrastructure, critical operations and sustainability-focused programs for multiple facilities at QTS Data Centers.

As an industry veteran, Benson’s experience will be crucial as Prime improves its existing infrastructure while continuing to scale.

“As data centers increasingly become the backbone of critical operations for many organizations, it is more important than ever to ensure they are highly efficient facilities consistently delivering 99.999% uptime,” said Benson. “I am excited to have the opportunity to position Prime Data Centers to be able to meet the demands of today’s landscape.”

This announcement comes on the heels of the news that Kristen Bejarano has joined the company as Prime’s Vice President of Construction.
