OVHcloud has announced the opening of its newest data center site in Ascent’s TOR1 hyperscale development. The new data center is a testament to OVHcloud’s commitment to delivering operational excellence and efficiency, landing in one of North America’s most dynamic and innovative locations. This development is also supported by a CAD $145 million investment over the next 8 years.
The data center will deliver cloud solutions that meet the demands of Canadian businesses. The data center includes:

- Capacity of 10,000 servers and 2MW of power.

- An evolving cloud portfolio composed of enterprise-grade dedicated servers, Object Storage, network and connectivity solutions, and more.

- Water-cooling technology to create a controlled environmental footprint.
Ascent’s TOR1 data center site is in the Toronto-Waterloo Corridor, the second-largest technology cluster in North America. The facility boasts >310,000 square feet of space and offers up to 6OMW of critical power.
OVHcloud will offer companies a diversified alternative to their cloud infrastructure, enhancing resilience and a robust network. It will connect to several points of presence (PoPs) in Montreal, Toronto, and more than 40 across the globe. Furthermore, the data center is poised to meet the demands of highly regulated industries with the highest industry certifications.
