Global hyperscale data center and tech powerhouse, Apple, just released its buzz-worthy 2024 environmental progress report shouting out its groundbreaking collaboration with K&N Global Filtration to develop sustainable air filtration solutions.

Together, the two companies are reshaping digital infrastructure and industrial-application industries with washable, reusable, sustainability-focused air filters. As part of Apple’s commitment to zero waste, the company completed the installation of reusable air filters at every one of its data centers worldwide, preventing the disposal of 25 tons of dirty filters each year — enough to fill an entire football field! The shift also cut fan energy use within its facilities by 35 percent.
In 2019, Apple embarked on a visionary partnership with K&N Global Filtration to explore the development of sustainable air filter solutions for use within its Reno data centers and, ultimately, for use within Apple’s buildings and facilities worldwide.
