Fujitsu optical network transport technology has been awarded Gold in the 2024 ISE Network Innovators’ Awards, which recognize excellence in originality, innovation, cost-effectiveness and customer benefits across the broadband market.
The next-generation Fujitsu 1FINITY™ T900 Series Transponder delivers extreme performance, automation and sustainable liquid cooling for true hyper-reliable terabit networking, offering 1.2 terabits per second (Tbps) on a single wavelength with future upgrade to 1.6 Tbps and beyond. This optical transport platform enables extended reach, enhanced wavelength and optimized fiber capacity for seamless scaling at a lower cost/ per bit/ per kilometer. The 1FINITY platform also incorporates automation enabled by artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) for zero-touch turn-up and optimization of end-to-end service delivery.
“Today’s service providers face continual pressure to improve sustainability while cutting costs, as they deal with increased thermal loading in an ever-smaller footprint,” said Rod Naphan, senior vice president and head of the photonics systems business unit at Fujitsu. “The 1FINITY T900 Series Transponder is the only available optical transponder to incorporate closed-loop liquid cooling, enabling sustainability while offering operation up to 150 GBaud for the ideal balance of cost, reach and capacity with simplified operation.”
“On behalf of the ISE Network Innovators’ Awards, I would like to congratulate Fujitsu on achieving a well-deserved Gold honoree status,” said Joe Gillard, ISE Magazine‘s executive editor.
