Involta‘s inaugural Cinco De Mayo Golf Tournament was a huge success, raising considerable funds to support the Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault (SACASA). The event was held at Tucson’s Skyline Country Club and co-hosted by Lamda Lamda Lamda, Tucson’s technology networking group. Due to the event’s monumental success, Involta is committed to making this an annual Golf Tournament to continue efforts to help survivors of sexual trauma.
The launch of this benefit brought in more than $22,000 to help fund SACASA’s efforts to provide crisis services, advocacy, support, therapy and education for individuals and families impacted by sexual trauma.
“We could not be more appreciative of Involta’s support for our community and cause. The company has pledged not only funding assistance, but its full support to our mission of helping survivors heal. We are looking forward to this annual Golf Tournament as a new way to help support the many sexual trauma survivors in Southern Arizona.” – Katlyn Monje, Director of SACAS
Sexual violence is more common than most people realize in Southern Arizona and beyond, which is why Involta embarked on this mission to support victims. Every 68 seconds, an American is sexually assaulted, according to the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network.
“Involta is deeply committed to community support and involvement in Tucson and across all the markets that we serve. We are honored to be able to play a small role in helping sexual trauma survivors by supporting such a meaningful and impactful organization leading this local effort.” – Jim Buie, President of Involta.
The company’s commitment and passion for serving have made Involta Cares a great success that will continue to benefit multiple causes and communities.
