Join Zenlayer’s Carlos Morell for an Interactive Discussion on the Challenges, Opportunities and Best Practices for Media and Content Companies Hoping to Gain Traction in Emerging Markets
Streaming and gaming platforms are extremely popular in most Tier 1 markets, and the infrastructure to support them is readily available. But according to IABM, the International Trade Association for the Broadcast & Media Industry, new growth opportunities for media and entertainment companies lie in emerging markets.
Those markets in areas like China, India and Southeast Asia include 12.8 billion end users looking for content. Delivering that content with the quality of service expected today can be more challenging in emerging markets. There are several reasons for this including complex regulatory hurdles that foreign entrants must navigate, limited digital infrastructure for the time being, and extremely localized, somewhat unreliable network connectivity.
Now for the good news. Emerging market users are often early adopters. Use of mobile devices to access media and entertainment is more prevalent in emerging markets. 663 million new mobile internet users are expected to emerge through 2025 in the AsiaPac region alone.
An upcoming IABM webinar “Edge Cloud in Emerging Markets – Trends, Challenges & Best Practices for Reaching Your Next Billion” will address all of these challenges and a panel of experts will provide thought leadership and offer solutions. Join Carlos Morell, VP of Media, Entertainment and Platform of Zenlayer, best practices of building connectivity in emerging markets on Wednesday December 15th at 9am-10am PST / 5pm-6pm GMT. Mr. Morell has more than 20 years of successful sales leadership in a variety of high-growth international technology companies and over 10 years of CDN and cloud technology experience.
