United Fiber & Data (UFD) is making headlines again! The company announced today that a global hyperscaler has chosen UFD for fiber-optic connectivity between two of its major U.S. carrier hotels in Manhattan and New Jersey.
UFD tailor-made a dark fiber solution for this customer’s network design, which includes 12 pairs/24 fiber strands total. The secured route provides the global company with expanded high-capacity options for Big Data transit.

This news in the second major announcement in as many months. In May, UFD announced that its highly anticipated fiber-optic network connecting New York City to Ashburn, Virginia, was completed. The company’s wholly-owned and operated purpose-built, greenfield network connects UFD’s 60-mile-plus metro fiber-optic network in New York City to Ashburn, via a 340-mile physically diverse long-haul route.
