EdgePresence CIO to Speak on TIA Panel “Data Centers: What is Different at the Edge?” – Taking Place Tuesday, April 13

EdgePresence’s Chief Information Officer, Bill Radford, will speak on the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) panel this Tuesday titled, “Data Centers: What is Different at the Edge?” The virtual panel takes place  11 a.m. to 12 p.m., and is free to attend.

As the cloud moves closer and closer to end-users, a large portion of the computing will be migrating to the edge of networks over the next few years. In a world that demands high performance network services, providers of low-latency 5G applications and services will need to trust new edge data centers to deliver, and some with ultra-high reliability requirements. This panel will discuss how the data center industry is adapting to this seismic shift and how it impacts the physical design and construction, as well as the operational aspects, of Edge Data Centers.

In addition to Radford, other panelists joining the discussion include Bret Lehman, Director of Product and Business Development for PCX Corporation LLC; Keith Rutledge, General Manager for Edgepoint, Compass Datacenters; A.S. Waqas, Vice President (Datacenter Solution) for Vericom Global Solutions; and Jacques Fluet, Director, Data Center Program for TIA.
