EdgeConneX heats up its global expansion plans by entering a new market, Belgium. The company is building a large 20MW data center campus in Ternat, less than 15km from downtown Brussels.
Brussels is the capital of Belgium, and is the de facto capital of the EU, serving as a key gateway both into and within Europe. With enterprises, global service providers, hyperscalers and a tech-rich ecosystem, demand is high in the region for data center and interconnection capacity.
Designed to support the critical infrastructure requirements of network, content, cloud and IT service providers, the new EdgeConneX Brussels campus will be ready for service in Q1 of 2023.
“Our legacy is to quickly and successfully deliver data center infrastructure anywhere our customers require. As we continue to expand both our Edge platform and hyperscale campuses globally, our data center to be built in Brussels will give us capabilities to meet our customer’s requirements for hyperlocal and hyperscale data center capacity in the vital and growing Benelux region.” – Dick Theunissen, Managing Director for EMEA of EdgeConneX
EdgeConneX Brussels is the seventh market in EMEA and 40th market worldwide as the company continues to rapidly build out its exceptional, global data center platform.
