The future for EdgeConneX looks bright as they plan to further expand in the APAC region with the backing of its parent, EQT Infrastructure. Telecommunications veteran Kelvin Fong will oversee EdgeConneX’ new regional market expansion from the company’s new headquarters in Singapore. He and his team will lead efforts in the APAC region, which corresponds to the company’s strategic market expansion initiatives.

Industry Experience Leads Expansion throughout the APAC Region

Previous to joining EdgeConneX, Kelvin served as Managing Director for Data Centers at CapitaLand, one of Asia’s largest diversified real estate groups. Before that, Kelvin was Managing Director of Global Switch, another significant regional provider covering Hong Kong, Singapore and China, of which he served as the Executive Director of Asia Tone Ltd, now part of Equinix.

With EdgeConneX’ new market headquarters in place, Kelvin will lead the market growth in the APAC region, where there is significant demand led by digital transformation and cloud adoption. EdgeConneX is now prepared to be at the forefront of edge and hyperscale data center development in the APAC technological hotspot of the world.
