EdgeConneX Adds Additional Data Center in Israel to Meet Hyperscale & Enterprise Demand

EdgeConneX is expanding again, and this time it’s in Israel! The company has announced its newest and third facility in the country, supporting the increasing demand for highly secure, and resilient infrastructure in the region by hyperscalers, cloud service providers, and enterprises.

Expected to be operational by Q3 2023, the new facility will bring 7.5MWs to market and offer extensive fiber and peering options with resilient access to local and international internet service providers, enabling connectivity to global markets and services. With two operational data centers in Herzliya and Petah Tikva, the new facility will further complement the company’s existing data center presence in Israel.

“We’re thrilled to be well underway with the construction and development of the Rishon site. The new facility and additional expansion plans will bring the necessary capacity and innovation to grow business, and meet increasing hyperscaler and enterprise customer needs. We focus on our customers and providing them with the infrastructure and power capacity they want, where they want it, and when they want it.” – Dick Theunissen, Managing Director, EMEA, EdgeConneX.

Never a quiet moment for EdgeConneX, the company also recently announced its execution of $3.3 Billion in innovative sustainability-linked financing, enabling the development of critical digital infrastructure to support new global data center requirements.
