Databank Welcomes Two Key Executives to Expand Software-Enabled Infrastructure Ecosystem

2021 has been a year of significant growth for Databank. The company has substantially expanded its edge footprint and interconnection ecosystem across the U.S. and U.K with several recent acquisitions and investments. To capitalize on this growth, DataBank has just welcomed two dynamic leaders and key executives, Phil Rosenthal and Christian Koch.

“Phil and Christian share that passion for creating the most pleasant customer experience, and their knowledge and experience deploying infrastructure as code will help position DataBank as the provider of choice for enterprises, technology, and content providers in the years ahead,” commented Raul Martynek, DataBank’s CEO.

Phil Rosenthal joins DataBank as Vice President of Product and Engineering, bringing over twenty years of experience as an entrepreneur in the Internet Infrastructure sector.  Phil will be responsible for all software development efforts across the organization.

Christian Koch joins DataBank as Senior Director of Interconnection Product Strategy, further developing DataBank’s open, neutral interconnection platform. Christian brings a wealth of experience at companies like PacketFabric, Megaport, Microsoft, Twitter, and Globix. Koch is also a founder of the New York Network Operations Group (NYNOG).
