DataBank Attains Key Industry Certifications and Accolades for Security and Compliance

DataBank announced that it attained FedRamp Certification for the third year in a row, an accolade that reinforces the company’s standards for security for its clients.  In addition, DataBank achieved CSA Star Level 2 certification, along with an error-free SSAE18 SOC 1 Type 2, SOC 2 Type 2, and PCI-DSS compliance.

With the complexity and frequency of security incidents and data breaches on the rise, organizations protect their critical data by maintaining continuous monitoring of security and compliance practices. These accreditations measure a standardized approach to security and risk assessment, authorization and continuous monitoring, essential for organizations in the digital age.

DataBank leaders point to the primary importance of ensuring compliance — to make sure that its customers have the tools, resources and solutions they need in order to keep their data private and secure.

Industry officials point to data center companies like DataBank that leverage in-house expertise and infrastructure platforms to adhere to industry regulations and requirements — and further reduce the burden on IT staff.

DataBank is recertified each year for its major compliance frameworks including, SSAE18, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and Privacy Shield – GDPR. In addition, the company attained an error-free SSAE18 SOC 1 Type 2, SOC 2 Type 2, and PCI-DSS Report on Compliance (ROC) for both Managed Services and Colocation Services, as well as a PCI Report on Compliance (ROC) for its Managed Services platforms in its Baltimore data center, BWI1, Dallas data center, DFW1, and Kansas City cloud nodes.

The certification comes on the heels of the company’s acquisition of zColo’s U.S. and U.K. data center assets from Zayo Group holdings and its strategic investment in EdgePresence, which adds modular facilities to augment its traditional data center portfolio.
