DataBank, a leading provider of enterprise-class data center, connectivity and managed services, announces that it received a flawless report card on compliance in multiple major data centers. The report reinforces the company’s benchmarks for comprehensive security, and the outcome is reduced burden on IT staff.
The report evaluated managed services platforms located in its Baltimore data center, BWI1, Dallas Data center, DFW1, and Kansas City cloud nodes. DataBank has also passed reports on compliance for its colocation services, which encompass the majority of its data centers.
DataBank is recertified each year for its major compliance frameworks including FedRAMP, FISMA, SSAE18, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and Privacy Shield – GDPR. Achieving an error-free ROC is rare, and this marks the third year in a row that DataBank has received such an accolade for PCI. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards, or PCI-DSS policies and procedures, were developed to protect payment card-based transactions and thwart fraud and financial damage. With the complexity and frequency of security incidents and data breaches on the rise, organizations protect their critical data by maintaining continuous monitoring of security and compliance practices.
“DataBank is serious about securing our systems and using that to ensuring compliance not only for our core infrastructure and services, but also to ensure our customers have the tools, resources, and solutions they need in order to maintain compliance and keep their data private and secure,” comments Calli Schleintz, DataBank’s Compliance Team Lead. “With our in-house CISO, dedicated security and compliance engineering teams, and proven compliance expertise, DataBank can take responsibility for up to 80% of compliance controls. We work carefully with clients so they understand where their responsibilities lie and where DataBank can provide assistance.”
