DataBank, a data center leader in collocation and connectivity, announced the opening of its sixth Salt Lake City area data center this week, SLC6. The extra capacity was designed and deployed to support the mission-critical infrastructure requirements of organizations in the Salt Lake City area.
The 171,000 square foot expansion adds two new data halls, including 100,000 square feet of raised flooring. The new data center expansion also provides 11 megawatts of power, bringing the total critical IT load to 22 megawatts.

SLC6 is located on DataBank’s Granite Point Campus, strategically centered between downtown Salt Lake City and Utah’s “Silicon Slopes” in Bluffdale, Utah.
