DataBank is continuing to evolve and forge new partnerships. The data center provider has announced their latest collaboration is with Console Connect. For DataBank customers, this relationship strengthens the carrier access that they are offered. This alliance also adds the Console Connect Software Defined Interconnection® platform to more than 40 of DataBank’s data centers across the US.
Michael Glynn, vice president of digital automated innovation for Console Connect, explains how their platform addresses primary networking challenges:
“Using our platform, DataBank customers can self-provision private, high-performance connections among a global ecosystem of enterprises, networks, clouds, SaaS providers, and IoT providers. What makes our platform different is the underlying network infrastructure, which we own and operate globally. This provides on-demand connectivity among all major metro areas and key markets across North America, as well as international capacity to more than 50 countries.”
DataBank customers can manage and monitor multiple network connections and services in real time by using the Console Connect web application or an open API. This new approach decreases connection timeframes from weeks to just minutes.
In these days of heightened remote work, users must have secure networks to access systems and applications. This new partnership does just that. In fact, within just seconds, customers can self-provision Tier 1 IP transit connections. Console Connect CloudRouter’s ability to connect any cloud or any location without dedicated hardware creates private and secured meshed networks instantly for multi-cloud environments.
“Our collaboration with DataBank allows customers in the U.S. to build their digital ecosystems and interconnect with a larger number of digital service providers. This is key given the surge in demand for cloud solutions and the massive shift to hybrid working models. This accelerates the need for high-performance networking that can support mission-critical workloads.” – Michael Glynn, vice president of digital automated innovation for Console Connect
