Customers of the American Tower Metro Data Center now have another avenue for cloud connectivity. American Tower (NYSE: AMT) recently began offering Flexential’s FlexAnywhere™ solution at its facility located at 55 Marietta Street in downtown Atlanta. In addition to connecting to cloud service providers, like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, FlexAnywhere lets customers easily and quickly connect to more than 250 networks, data centers and managed services.

The Growing Need for Cloud Connectivity

As chief information officers for enterprises across industries look to connect in-building IT infrastructure to Artificial Intelligence, IoT, 5G-based applications and other emerging technologies, the need for cloud connectivity will rise. A recent study by Gartner predicts that spending on public cloud services will increase from $270 billion in 2020 to more than $332 billion in 2021. The agreement between the American Tower Metro Data Center and Flexential positions customers to access the cloud as well as the data center services that are mission critical to business operations.

Expanding Services at American Tower Metro Data Center

The addition of FlexAnywhere and the added cloud connectivity capabilities are the latest in a steady stream of improvements that help customers connect. American Tower recently announced that it acquired the 16th floor of 55 Marietta from Cyber Wurx. The acquisition brought Metro Data Center’s total capacity to 6 MegaWatts.
