American Tower has a big reason to celebrate. A few short months after launching its Channel Partner program, it is growing the program with the addition of Global Telecom Solutions (GTS). The Detroit-based telecommunication/cloud services firm now has access to the American Tower Data Center portfolio of six edge data centers and three metro data centers for collocation. 

The Edge Advantage

The agreement between American Tower and GTS adds an edge collocation option to GTS’ portfolio. With the edge market expected to see 23% growth between 2020 and 2026, access to a reliable network of edge facilities is critical to meet enterprises’ growing demand for connectivity at the edge.

Leveraging its consultative approach to business customers and its more than 300 sales brokers, GTS may also benefit from future facilities, as American Tower can leverage the real estate of their more than 42,000 existing towers in the U.S. to build new data centers quickly.
