American Tower Acquires Collocation Space from Cyber Wurx to Expand Metro Data Center in Atlanta

American Tower Metro Data Center in Atlanta adds 17,000+ square feet to its facility at 55 Marietta

More exciting expansion news for American Tower!   The Company recently acquired the 16th-floor collocation space from Cyber Wurx, a privately held Atlanta-based technology company, expanding its Metro Data Center at 55 Marietta in downtown Atlanta by more than 17,000 square feet. The American Tower Metro Data Center now occupies four floors of 55 Marietta and has a total capacity of 6 MegaWatts (MW). The added space comes weeks after the announcement of another expansion at the Metro Data Center, further demonstrating American Tower’s commitment to the data center business.

“The volume of enterprises connecting through Atlanta, including our Metro Data Center, has increased as the market has gained popularity,” says David Fox, Director of Business Development, U.S. Innovation for American Tower. “We’ve been committed to increasing capacity for our customers, so we can meet the demand for collocation while providing the same quality of service. We’re extremely pleased with the capabilities this acquisition provides for our customers.”

Cyber Wurx will continue to occupy part of the 16th floor, as an American Tower anchor tenant, to serve its existing customers and support its business.
