Airtel Business Selected as Cloud & CDN Partner for India’s DIKSHA Ed-Tech Platform

In a significant development for India’s education sector, Airtel Business has been chosen by the Ministry of Education to be the cloud and CDN (Content Delivery Network) partner for DIKSHA (Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing), the country’s national platform for open education digital content. This partnership marks a significant milestone in empowering teachers and students across India through advanced technology.

Airtel’s low latency and high-bandwidth Edge CDN solution will now serve as the backbone of DIKSHA, the most prominent digital education initiative by the Indian government. DIKSHA hosts extensive learning content in over 35 Indian languages and caters to teachers and students across 28 states and eight Union Territories. This state-of-the-art CDN solution ensures seamless access to educational resources, even in remote areas of the country.

As part of the collaboration, Airtel Cloud will power DIKSHA’s online platforms, including its mobile application and website. This integration enables students to access free educational content in their preferred Indian language effortlessly. Airtel Cloud’s advanced capabilities will facilitate easy enrollment onto the DIKSHA platform and support the migration of DIKSHA to Oracle Cloud, alongside offering managed services and CDN solutions.

The announcement presents a great business opportunity for US and global service providers aiming to enter the Indian market. The United Nations recently disclosed that India has surpassed China as the most populous country globally.
