Recently, Vani Venkatesh, CEO, Global Business at Airtel Business, spoke with Tara Neal, Executive Editor at The Fast Mode, about the demand for advanced cloud solutions, how operators are uniquely positioned to deliver these solutions, and why cloud is driving the overall market for B2B services. Vani also discusses Airtel’s CDN solutions and some of their recent deployments.
Airtel Business, a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel, is India’s largest enterprise connectivity provider, with over a million customers across the country. It was recently awarded the Cloud and CDN Mandate from Digital India Corporation to power DIKSHA, India’s national platform for open education digital content. Airtel was awarded this mandate from the Indian government, further establishing them as a trusted partner for cloud solutions. Airtel Cloud will now power DIKSHA’s online platforms across its mobile application and website, enabling students across India to seamlessly access free educational content in their preferred Indian language.
This announcement comes at an opportune time, as all eyes have been on India in recent months. Organizations in India and around the world who seek revenue, user and subscriber growth are selecting cloud and data center solutions such as those provided by Airtel, one of India’s leading telecommunications service providers to achieve their vision. Airtel serves as a helpful guide to new entrants by offering 12 cloud-enabled data centers and 120 edge data centers across the country.
