Legrand is expanding its cable bus offering with the acquisition of Toronto-based Power Bus Way. 

Legrand, a global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures, expects the North American data center market to continue to grow because of higher demand for digital infrastructure, which is being accelerated by the proliferation of power-hungry Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications. Acquiring Power Bus Way, a premier provider of custom-designed cable bus solutions for data centers, positions Legrand to better meet the needs of this large, growing market by delivering two robust and complementary cable bus solutions. In addition to data centers, the solutions are also ideal for serving industrial facilities, large-scale commercial projects and more.

In early 2024, Legrand launched its first cable bus solution, a highly reliable, field-adjustable option from its Cablofil® product line which provides shorter lead times to meet customers’ most aggressive timelines. Power Bus Way’s custom engineered end-to-end solution caters to customized layouts and provides all lengths, equipment connections, supports, terminations and cables to suit site-specific requirements.
