The global peering landscape has been shifting and accelerating in recent years — and as we develop into a more digital world, its momentum continues. With 2020 prompting organizations to maximize their online capabilities while prioritizing the user experience, it’s clear that interconnection is — and will continue to be — a hot topic.
Today, the internet is expanding its role as a foundational element of global operations at an impressive rate. In fact, Equinix reports that 70% of new value created in the next decade will be derived from digitally enabled business models. Running parallel to this development is peering’s strong trajectory as a key enabler for global network reach and traffic optimization — both of which meet demands for newly remote workforces and beyond.
To support the convergence of the peering community and drive ongoing collaboration, The Global Peering Forum (GPF) is proud to announce that registration is now open for its 2021 event. Taking place virtually on April 19-22, this occasion constitutes a 15th installment of the annual networking event that promotes interconnection among networks, content, cloud, and digital media organizations, as well as related entities.
Together, decision makers from global Internet Service Providers, Content Delivery Networks, cloud, and interconnection service providers will share insights through meetings, presentations, and networking opportunities. Featuring a curated agenda of thought leadership from industry pioneers, attendees won’t want to miss this event’s discussions surrounding IPv6, post-pandemic adaptations, BGP telemetry, new market developments and more.
