Meet Our JSA Family

Tara Karolski

MEDIA RELATIONS & CONTENT MANAGER

Tara brings more than 20 years of marketing, writing and design experience to JSA. With a passion for helping clients tell their stories through compelling and well-written content, Tara brings creativity and curiosity to every project. She understands the importance of doing the research, asking the right questions and truly listening to the answers to get to the heart of a client’s need and to determine the best strategy to drive results.

Before joining the JSA family, Tara spent 12 years at Union Pacific Railroad developing strategic customer communications and integrated marketing campaigns for a variety of industries, including consumer goods, industrial products and energy. At UP, Tara blazed a new trail, building a new content marketing initiative from the ground up (the first of its kind among Class I railroads). Through the creation of an online magazine and comprehensive social media strategy, she helped the company achieve record-breaking brand engagement, a boost in lead generation and increased revenue.

Prior to her time at the railroad, Tara spent several years in New York City working in magazine and book publishing, Broadway show production marketing and market research.

Tara holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of Nebraska.

She currently resides in Omaha, Nebraska, with her husband, three sons and daughter. In her spare time, you can find her hanging out with family and friends, blogging about home decor and cheering on her favorite teams — the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Creighton Bluejays.
