As JSA’s Media Relations Manager, Sheetal manages press pitches, article writing, blogging and social outreach. Her proven skills as a journalist, writer and researcher allow her to successfully build and develop clients’ brand messaging and media placement.
An experienced communications professional with a diverse background in many mediums, Sheetal’s proven expertise includes broadcast television, radio, podcasts, web and social media. Sheetal and Jaymie first met and worked together at MSNBC, where the two produced live television news, including breaking news, political panel segments and news cut-ins for the 24-hour national news network. Sheetal still freelances there occasionally.
Prior to JSA, Sheetal worked to engage social media fans and followers for the digital publication and podcast series “The Money Pit”. As the social media community manager and editorial manager, Sheetal created marketing campaigns for dozens of high profile brands which partnered with “The Money Pit” and oversaw and scheduled all content. She also created and reported on social media promotions, such as Facebook sweepstakes and Pinterest “Pin to Win” sweepstakes, to generate social exposure and engagement for clients. Notably, Sheetal produced a weekly, two hour, call-in radio show.
Sheetal has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies and Electronic Communications from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), with a minor study in Journalism. When not writing and producing, you can find her near the Jersey Shore where she lives, spending quality time with her husband and two children, entertaining family and friends and volunteering at her children’s’ schools.
