As JSA’s Director of Media Relations, Sheetal oversees client media outreach and strategy. Her proven skills as a broadcast journalist, writer and researcher allow her to successfully build and develop clients’ brand messaging and media placement. Her keen mainstream news judgment and media relationships have landed JSA clients interviews with journalists from The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The New York Times Canada, NBC News, CBS News, ABC News and many others. Sheetal’s additional expertise includes broadcast television, radio, podcasts, website content and social media. She also writes articles, press releases, media alerts, blogs, press statements and more.
Sheetal’s journalism career culminated at MSNBC, where she produced live television news for the 24-hour news network. During her tenure, Sheetal covered some of the most significant stories of our time including 2016 election night coverage and live, breaking news coverage of the September 11th attacks as they unfolded. She received special Emmy recognition from the Television Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Sheetal also worked to engage social media fans and followers for the digital publication and podcast series “The Money Pit”. As the Executive Producer of the podcast, Social Media Community Manager and Editorial Manager of the website, Sheetal was responsible for all editorial content across all platforms.
Sheetal has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies and Electronic Communications from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), with a minor study in Journalism. When not working on JSA’s media efforts, you can find her at her home in beautiful Monmouth County, New Jersey where she enjoys entertaining friends and family, visits to the nearby Jersey Shore and volunteering at her church, Our Lady of Fatima.
