Bonnie is a skilled professional with extensive experience handling media outreach and content development for a wide variety of organizations.

Prior to joining JSA, Bonnie worked as a marketing specialist for a national relocation company while also operating a marketing consulting firm serving clients in the technology, life sciences and other sectors. Over the years, she has also held in-house senior communications roles at the University of California, San Diego, one of the top medical research universities in the country, as well as managing PR and internal communications
activities at various technology and healthcare companies.

Bonnie started her career as a journalist, working at several California daily newspapers before moving into corporate communications work. She believes her reporting background aids her in securing media coverage by giving her insight into the wants and needs of reporters and editors.

Bonnie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from San Diego State University. She is a lifelong California resident and lives in San Diego with her husband, son and several animals (two dogs and two cats, who actually run things there). She also has a daughter who lives in Los Angeles. When she’s not working, Bonnie enjoys visiting with her extended family (she’s one of six siblings) along with spending time with her kids.
