This new Poland data center, the first in the country, will be strategically located in Warsaw’s Mory area. Designed to be the region’s largest, it will feature a 90MW power capacity and 60MW IT load in its initial phase, scalable to 100+ MW. This facility will offer highly flexible infrastructure tailored for high-density AI and traditional cloud applications, supporting both air-cooled and liquid-cooled requirements with hybrid dry cooling technology.

“This is a momentous day for Switch Datacenters and a testament to our commitment to expanding our European reach and serving our clients’ evolving needs,” said Gregor Snip, Founder of Switch Datacenters. “Securing both land and permits for our Poland project marks our first international expansion outside the Netherlands. Poland’s strategic location, robust digital economy, growing demand for advanced data solutions, and willingness to develop more sustainably make it an ideal market for our next-generation facilities. We are excited to bring our expertise, innovative design, and sustainable approach to the region.”

“We are incredibly proud to officially announce the commencement of our project in Poland,” added Roland de Vries,  Director for Switch Datacenters and currently in charge of its development. “Local authorities and partners have been instrumental in reaching this stage, and we look forward to fostering strong, long-term relationships within the community. This  will not only provide essential sustainable digital infrastructure but also create significant local employment opportunities and contribute to the region’s economic growth.”

Construction is set to begin early next year, with the first phase of the data center expected to be operational by early 2027.

Congratulations to everyone at Switch Datacenters!
