Light Source Communications (LSC) has added a second major hyperscale client to its long-haul dark fiber route between Tulsa, Oklahoma, and St. Louis, Missouri.
The 500-plus mile, fully underground corridor features high fiber counts engineered specifically to connect edge environments and hyperscale clouds for real-time AI processing. Equipped with eight strategically located in-line amplifiers to preserve signal integrity, the infrastructure is built to handle heavy GPU-dense workloads and AI/ML applications. With engineering nearly finished and initial construction underway, full completion of the route is scheduled for the third quarter of 2027. This latest commitment highlights the surging regional demand for generative AI connectivity and high-performance computing across the Central United States.

Securing a second hyperscaler on the Tulsa-to-St. Louis route demonstrates strong industry confidence in LSC’s network design, delivering the diverse, high-capacity backbone required by enterprises, neoclouds, and governments.
This achievement marks LSC’s third rollout this year. The company is concurrently constructing a 400-mile network connecting Amarillo, Texas, to Oklahoma City, Stillwater, and Tulsa, as well as a 240-mile, five-ring metro build in Indianapolis, both of which are anchored by hyperscale tenants.
