The funding is specifically earmarked to advance the Lancium Clean Campus in Abilene, a 1.2 GW facility designed from the ground up to power some of the world’s most demanding AI and cloud applications. This site is notable because it is the inaugural location for the Stargate initiative, a multi-stakeholder program backed by tech giants, including Crusoe, SoftBank, OpenAI, Oracle, and MGX. Lancium’s Abilene campus is leading the charge for the Stargate mission to deploy a network of U.S. hyperscale AI data centers.

A Landmark Financing Deal
This first-of-its-kind financing package was led and structured by Santander Corporate & Investment Banking, which served as the debt financial advisor, sole structuring bank, sole underwriter, and administrative agent. Cantor Fitzgerald acted as the sole strategic advisor to Lancium.
This deal provides the capital for the Abilene development, but also creates a scalable financial foundation to support the expansion of digital infrastructure across Texas and beyond.
The collaboration highlights a growing recognition in the financial sector that sustainable power and massive compute demand are converging.
