JSA TV: Bandwidth IG CEO Prepares for ITW Panel “Where Are the New Data ‘Hubs’?”

International Telecoms Week 2021 (ITW) is one of the telecom industry’s most anticipated events of the year. Not only does it have excellent panels featuring some of the industry’s leading experts, but it is one of the first major industry conferences to have an in-person element since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In preparation for ITW, JSA TV caught up with Jim Nolte, CEO for Bandwidth IG, to get a preview of what he will address in the panel discussion, “Where Are the New Data ‘Hubs’?”, taking place at 4 p.m. ET on Monday, August 30.

Today’s Data Hubs & IT Network Needs

The panel discussion will tackle how and why connectivity hubs have changed over the years. Legacy networks that were put in place more than 20 years ago now have to work harder than ever to transmit amounts of data they were not built to handle. Because of this, Nolte explains why legacy fiber networks will be forced to decommission segments in the coming years. Today’s digitally transformed enterprises require four things of their network infrastructure that legacy networks are unable to offer:

  • Low latency
  • Low signal loss
  • Max diversity
  • Inventory

Check out the video to learn how new fiber networks can best provide those four key elements.

Don’t forget to check out “Where Are the New Data ‘Hubs’?” at 4 p.m. ET on Monday, August 30 either live at ITW or via the online platform.
