BDx Wins W. Media’s Sustainable Design and Build Project Award
The prestigious W. Media award is the latest accolade of many for BDx’s NKG1 facility located in the heart of China’s Yangtze River Delta, one of the nation’s wealthiest regions and largest import and export base. The state-of-the-art data center recently received the IDCC 2022 Cornerstone Award for Computing Power in the Yangtze River Delta Hub and was named Yangtze River Delta Region’s Model Data Center for New Digital Infrastructure by the CCIA and IDC Circle Committee in October 2021. NKG1 is also the first data center in Nanjing to earn Uptime Institute’s Tier III Certification of Design Documents.
“Our team had the vision to build an ultra-modern, sustainable and secure data center facility to meet China’s growing digital requirements and the needs of hyperscalers and enterprises across the Yangtze River Delta Region. BDx made that vision a reality with the launch of the first phase of our NKG data center campus featuring state-of-the-art technology, dynamic computing power and environmentally responsible infrastructure,” said Mayank Srivastava, CEO of BDx. “We are deeply honored to be recognized by W. Media for leading the industry with best-in-class data center design and development. This designation reflects our team’s commitment to accelerating digital transformation across Asia-Pacific through excellence in data center operations and a relentless focus on sustainability.”
Fully operational since 2021, NKG1 primarily serves the OTT media services, financial services and communications industries. NKG1 offers stable and secure computing power due to its dual-utility power supply with a capacity of 2×7.5 MVA and a transformer with a 2N configuration. It is also equipped with high-efficiency cooling technology and modern security features.
Construction of the second phase of the Nanjing data center campus (NKG2), designed to launch as an autonomous, lights-out data center, is currently in progress.
