A new agreement between American Tower and Datacenters.com will allow users of the popular technology platform to source American Tower’s new edge data center locations to build out their IT infrastructure.
American Tower recently launched six edge data centers and has plans to expand to thousands of locations throughout the nation. As things like the Internet of Things and 5G drive demand, American Tower is enabling edge solutions to meet growing bandwidth needs.
Datacenters.com is a leading technology platform, directory and marketplace for buyers and sellers of IT infrastructure. As part of the agreement with American Tower, Datacenters.com is now offering American Tower’s colocation data center services and edge data center footprint.
Datacenters.com helps its users purchase colocation hosting, cloud services and network infrastructure solutions online with a directory of hundreds of providers and thousands of data center locations globally. The database includes listings and map views of traditional colocation facilities, cloud availability zones, disaster recovery sites and now edge data center locations.
“As American Tower expands its edge data center business, we are working to ensure our data centers are a top consideration for those looking to build out their network and edge infrastructure. Partnering with Datacenters.com provides us access to one of the largest directories.” – Eric Watko, VP of Product Line Solutions, US Tower Innovation for American Tower.
