DartPoints is Building the Next Phase of Digital Growth in Greenville

Demand for high-performance infrastructure keeps rising across the Southeast, and Greenville is one of the clearest examples of that shift. Businesses, universities, and research teams in the region are taking on larger workloads, standing up AI initiatives, and modernizing critical systems. They need reliable power, room to grow, and a place to run dense computing at scale.

DartPoints is answering that need with a major expansion of its Greenville data center. The project adds 88,000 square feet of new technical space and increases the site’s capacity from 2.5 megawatts to 12.5 megawatts. It is a long-term investment in a community that has supported DartPoints’ growth for nearly twenty years and one that continues to attract technology-focused businesses.

Why Greenville, and why now

Greenville has become a hub for regional enterprises, healthcare systems, financial services, and manufacturing groups that depend on strong digital infrastructure. Many of these organizations are now exploring AI-driven applications, new research workloads, and more bandwidth-intensive services. They need infrastructure that can support dense power requirements and stay close to the communities they serve.

The expanded facility will support cabinet densities up to 120 kilowatts, giving technical teams the ability to scale advanced workloads without leaving the region. That includes AI training and inference, high-performance computing, and data-heavy operational systems.

A project shaped by state and local collaboration

This expansion reflects continued collaboration with South Carolina partners who share a vision for long-term digital growth. The project will bring new technical jobs to the area and contribute to a stronger regional technology ecosystem. It also aligns with statewide efforts to attract and support companies that rely on modern IT infrastructure.

Supporting organizations where their data lives

Enterprises and universities across the Carolinas are working to manage the next wave of data growth. Research teams need to run analytics closer to campus. Healthcare providers need dependable power and uptime for patient care systems. Local businesses want the performance of a purpose-built facility without moving workloads hundreds of miles away.

The Greenville site is designed to support those needs with high-density power, diverse connectivity, and modern cooling systems. By building capacity in a growing region, DartPoints gives customers options that improve performance and reduce the strain that can come with aging on-premises infrastructure.

Part of a larger buildout across the region

The Greenville expansion is one piece of DartPoints’ broader program with NOVA Infrastructure to add capacity across the Southeast and Midwest. Each project in the program supports the same goal: create scalable, efficient facilities where organizations need them most. This includes markets where access to power, real estate, or specialized engineering resources can be challenging to secure independently.

Looking ahead

Construction is underway, and the expanded Greenville data center is expected to open in July 2027. As more organizations advance AI work, modernize legacy environments, and build services around real-time data, they will need reliable infrastructure that stays close to their operations.

DartPoints is committed to meeting that need and helping Greenville continue its growth as a strong regional technology center. Read the full press release here. To learn more, visit www.dartpoints.com.
