As JSA’s EVP of Business Strategy & Development, Candace is responsible for JSA’s strategic growth, leading JSA’s team of sales stars and referral partners to drive sustainable, long-term success for the agency.
Throughout her 10+ years at JSA, Candace has served in various roles responsible for client success, from Account Coordinator to Writer to Media Relations Manager to Account Director. After more than seven years of leading PR and marketing campaigns for dozens of JSA clients, Candace stepped into her current position as head of JSA’s sales program — now working with new clients to develop strategic go-to-market plans. As part of JSA’s executive team, Candace attends many industry events, hosting JSA TV and meeting with (and connecting) partners, clients and prospects.
Candace comes to JSA with a journalistic eye, having spent four years as a daily newspaper reporter in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. She relied on strong relationships with sources, daily conversations to uncover compelling stories, and constant research to stay up-to-date on her beats. These tactics have proven useful in covering the digital infrastructure “beat” and nurturing relationships that have helped to drive client and JSA success.
Candace has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications and Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. She lives in Richmond, Virginia with her partner and their two dogs, River & Brooke. She enjoys traveling, reading, getting hooked on good podcasts and TV shows (recommendations welcome!) and finding every excuse to check out new restaurants.
