Submarine Networks World 2026 [Exclusive Q&A with Event Organizers]

The future of global connectivity is being shaped here. Discover the sessions, partnerships and industry insights you won’t want to miss at Submarine Networks World 2026.

As global demand for resilient, secure and high-capacity connectivity continues to accelerate, the world’s subsea cable network has never been more critical to the future of digital infrastructure. Submarine Networks World, taking place on September 23 – 24 in Singapore, has long been the industry’s premier gathering, bringing together the leaders, innovators and decision-makers shaping the next generation of global connectivity. This year, with the introduction of the new Subsea Security World theatre, the conference expands its focus to address one of the industry’s most pressing priorities—protecting the critical infrastructure that powers the digital economy. In this Conference Spotlight Q&A, we speak with the event organizers about what makes this year’s event a must-attend, the conversations driving the agenda and how attendees can maximize every opportunity to learn, connect and do business on a global scale.

JSA: Tell us what makes Submarine Networks World a must-do event.

SNW: Submarine Networks World is the flagship annual event for the global subsea telecommunications industry – providing the only in-person platform where you can exchange knowledge, explore the latest projects, develop strategies and form partnerships on a truly global scale.

For 2026, the addition of the ‘Subsea Security World’ theatre builds out on the conference content covering the current big industry talking point and creates a truly unique gathering comprising the global subsea industry, national and regional government entities, navy/coastguard personnel, academics and policy/defence specialists from across the world.

JSA: How do you suggest Submarine Networks World attendees approach their personal agendas?

SNW: With 8 conference theatres, 150+ speakers and 80+ sponsors & exhibitors and 2 days – the key is to plan ahead. Download the event app from 4 weeks prior to the event start date and identify the exhibitors you want to visit, the speakers you want to hear and the people you want to meet with.

Build your schedule around your priorities and leave room for the unexpected conversations that happen in the networking zone, at the roundtables, by the cable posters and drinks at the end of each day. Some of the best outcomes happen when you leave space for serendipity.

JSA: How can Submarine Networks World attendees optimize networking opportunities?

SNW: Networking is at the heart of SNW x SSW 2026 and opportunities are woven throughout the entire event.

From 4 weeks prior to the event start date, make sure to use the event networking app and browse the attendee list (which updates continuously as more attendees book/register their passes). Be proactive and send connection requests, book onsite meetings in advance and pack out your schedule from the get-go on Day 1 to the close of Day 2.

On site, make use of the dedicated Networking Zone for meetings booked via the networking app where neither party has an exhibition stand nor meeting room. Initiate informal conversations, join the roundtable discussion session on the morning of Day 2, connect with peers around shared topics and don’t underestimate the power of the exhibition floor for discovering new partners and suppliers.

And when each day wraps up – the sundowners at the end of Day 1 and closing drinks reception at the end of Day 2 offers genuine scope to build upon your network. Jackets down, drink in hand, relaxed, candid conversations that can turn into real business relationships.

JSA: What are some of the key locations within the Submarine Networks World conference venue?

SNW: At SNW x SSW 2026 we keep things simple where possible and the whole event is effectively all in one room – with one way in, one way out and everything is inside.

The conference is split across 4 physical theatres, where 150+ speakers feature across two days of top tier presentations and panels.

Outside in the main hall, you will find the Networking Zone, Cable Poster Area, Lunch & Refreshments, Coffee Bar, Juice Bar, Meeting Rooms and 80+ sponsors & exhibitors showcasing their products, solutions and services, helping to shape the future of any subsea project.

JSA: What are your top 3 tips for making the most of Submarine Networks World?

SNW: Make sure it happens – to secure the best possible price and give yourself maximum time to be fully prepared – book your pass as early as you can.

Download the networking app and build your personal schedule allowing for conference visits, business meetings and connecting with the attendees you identify as people you want to connect with.

Your schedule is likely to be packed, however some of the most valuable moments take place in the unplanned conversations. Come with a plan, a smile and a curious mind – leaving room for the unexpected.
