Prime Data Centers Breaks Ground on its Second Silicon Valley Location

Prime Data Centers continue to expand its Chicago data center market with the exciting announcement that construction is underway at its second Silicon Valley location at 2175 Martin Ave in Santa Clara.

The new data center, SJC03, will be a turnkey build-to-suit, three-story campus intended for wholesale colocation tenants either in single tenancy or a multi-tenant configuration.

Upon completion, the 80,000-square-foot data center will offer 9 MW of critical capacity with N+1 redundancy and a guaranteed 9 MW of power availability secured from Silicon Valley Power.

“Silicon Valley is one of the most critical and tightest data center markets in the U.S., and the development and construction of Prime’s SJC03 has been highly anticipated,” states Chris Sumter, Executive Vice President of Acquisitions, Prime Data Centers.

Pre-leasing of the new property is now available with Phase 1 set for completion in the second half of 2023.

Prime also recently announced additions to its leadership team including Kristen Bejarano to the position of Vice President of Construction, Steve Benson as Vice President of Critical Operations, and Renee Dowis as Vice President of Procurement.
