OptiCool Appoints Lawrence “LL” Lee as First Chief Channel Officer

OptiCool Technologies, a leader in two-phase liquid cooling systems, has named Lawrence “LL” Lee as its first Chief Channel Officer (CCO). The move highlights the company’s new partner-first strategy, responding to the growing demand for high-density cooling driven by AI adoption.

In his new role, Lee will oversee OptiCool’s channel go-to-market strategy. His responsibilities include recruiting, enabling, and scaling a network of partners to deliver advanced cooling solutions directly to customers. Lee plans to align OptiCool’s product, marketing, customer success, and finance teams to support partner needs, positioning the channel as a key driver of the company’s expansion. This strategy is a significant step in making advanced liquid cooling widely available through channel partners, differentiating OptiCool in a market traditionally dominated by direct sales.

“The rapid adoption of AI is creating unprecedented demand for high-density cooling, and OptiCool is uniquely positioned to meet that challenge,” said Lee. “By fully embracing the channel, we are building an ecosystem where partners can bring advanced cooling solutions directly to their customers. This partner-first approach allows distributors and advisors to expand beyond traditional colocation offerings and deliver next-generation cooling at scale, all while accelerating OptiCool’s growth as a leading supplier in the data center market.”

Lee brings over 25 years of experience in corporate strategy, enterprise sales, and global channel development. He most recently served as Vice President of Global Partnerships & Alliances at Zenlayer, where he helped the company grow its annual recurring revenue from $100M to $400M. He achieved this by building a global partner ecosystem that included key relationships with companies like Equinix, Digital Realty, Bridgepointe, and Intelisys. Under his leadership, the program received multiple Partner of the Year awards from AWS, Equinix, and Digital Realty. Earlier in his career, Lee co-founded Unitas Global, establishing a partner network that became a primary growth driver and led to the company’s acquisition by Digital Alpha Advisors.

At OptiCool, Lee will focus on empowering technology solutions distributors (TSDs), value added resellers (VARs), OEMs, and distributors, as well as data center operators, to capitalize on the surge in high-density workloads. His work will include developing first-in-class channel sales agreements and driving partner-led engagement globally.
