OCP Announces All-Star Keynote Speaker Lineup for Global Summit

The event will feature an impressive roster of industry leaders March 4-5 in San Jose, CA


The Open Compute Project Foundation is gearing up for its annual Global Summit in San Jose, California, and this year it’s already shaping up to be a can’t-miss event. This week, OCP announced the Summit’s influential keynote speaker lineup, which features representation from industry giants like Facebook, Samsung and Intel. 

The annual Summit brings together more than 3,600 key decision makers, executives, engineers, developers and suppliers to help grow, drive and support the open hardware ecosystem for data centers and beyond. The theme for this year’s OCP Global Summit, which takes place March 4-5 at the San Diego Convention Center, is “Open For All”. The world’s most innovative organizations, including traditional hyperscalers, colocation facilities, enterprise and government are already benefiting from the adoption of open source technologies and collaboration. The OCP Global Summit will continue to drive that open collaboration and adoption by bringing organizations of all sizes around the world together to explore integrated solutions for deploying a circular economy.

The leadoff speaker, Katharine Schmidtke from Facebook, will  discuss the history of the Open Compute Project, now entering its tenth year. She will focus on  recent advancements in server, network and rack level disaggregation. 

Other notable keynote speakers to round out the dynamic lineup include: Jongyoul Lee, Senior Vice President of Samsung Memory Business; OCP board member and Intel Corporate Vice President, Jason Waxman; Yousef Khalidi, Microsoft Corporate Vice President; and speakers from Inspur will address the adoption of Open Compute Project solutions in China and other countries. 

In addition to the keynote speakers, the OCP Global Summit will feature nearly 100 engineering workshops executive tracks and speaking sessions.
