Inside Towers to host a panel exploring wireless builds post-COVID-19

As COVID-19 continues to affect our day-to-day lives, we must keep looking and planning ahead, even if the future remains uncertain.  When it comes to network deployments during these unprecedented times, Hylan CEO Joe Cecin is set to share his industry expertise on the upcoming webinar hosted by Inside Towers on July 28. The webinar titled, “COVID-19 & Network Deployment,” will discuss what wireless infrastructure deployments will look like post-COVID-19. Cecin will be joined by Michael Hill, Assistant General Counsel of Regulatory Affairs for ExteNet Systems; John Lamond, National Sales Director for GME Supply; and Giuseppe Incitti, CEO of Sitetracker. 

Telecom infrastructure construction and maintenance has continued throughout the progression of the pandemic, as these projects are necessary for us to remain connected. In fact, some companies have increased their demand for bandwidth as flexible work environments necessitate more build-outs in infrastructure.  But now we must continue to consider what the new “business as usual” will look like. Early on in the pandemic Hylan and many other essential businesses enacted comprehensive safety precautions such as limiting the number of employees present at a time and providing workers with PPE. As the pandemic endures, we must be prepared for certain aspects of these precautions to become a part of our new normal.

There is no way of knowing right now if there are any aspects of life during the pandemic that will become part of the ‘new normal’ – but the industry must be prepared either way. And either way, wireless build-outs will continue to be essential, and the safety of our employees is our top priority.”
