Hyliion Holdings Corp. (Hyliion)has signed a non-binding Letter of Intent (LOI) with Flexnode™ to deploy up to 10 KARNO generators. Through this partnership, Hyliion, a developer of sustainable electricity-producing technology, will bring power to Flexnode’s high-performance flexible modular data centers with its innovative, fuel-agnostic technology.

Flexnode is a rising digital infrastructure company known for its purpose-built, liquid-cooling-enabled data centers that excel in speed, scalability and adaptability. Their innovative designs allow businesses to scale data center capacity incrementally, optimizing edge performance and efficiency. Flexnode’s approach reduces operational costs and environmental impact, making it a leader in today’s demanding IT environments.

Hyliion will supply up to 10 KARNO™ generators (2MW total capacity) to Flexnode. The KARNO generator is a unique fuel-agnostic solution that utilizes a linear generator architecture to produce electricity economically and efficiently. Capable of operating on various fuels, including hydrogen, natural gas, biogas, and propane, the generator boasts lower maintenance costs and a significantly reduced emissions profile compared to conventional technologies. Initial delivery is planned for 2025. This partnership supports Flexnode’s mission to enhance high-density digital infrastructure, unlocking the potential of AI and machine learning.

The LOI between Hyliion and Flexnode is a promising step towards a sustainable future for digital infrastructure. As the collaboration progresses, both companies look forward to executing a binding purchase agreement while continuing to innovate in clean energy and high-performance data centers.
