eStruxture’s customers can now leverage private, low-latency connectivity to strategic US cloud locations
Lightning fast connectivity is now available in a new way for customers of eStruxture’s MTL-1 data center in Montreal. eStruxture, the largest Canadian-owned provider of network and cloud -neutral data center solutions, and Beanfield Technologies Inc. (“Beanfield”), a Toronto-based telecommunications company with an independent fibre-optic network spanning across the Greater Toronto Area and Montreal, have partnered to bring Beanfield’s HYPERroute low-latency private network services into eStruxture’s facility. So, what does this mean for enterprises with a need to reach cloud providers in the eastern US?
First, a quick bit of background context. As a data center provider, eStruxture is committed to helping its customers grow and expand their business in a variety of ways, including:
- Offering a range of connectivity solutions
- Enabling direct access to a growing number of cloud and service providers
- Maintaining affordable bandwidth
With its position in downtown Montreal, eStruxture’s MTL-1 data center is ideal for customers seeking secure, low latency connectivity with cloud-based US East compute and storage resources. With Beanfield’s HYPERroute service, eStruxture customers can benefit from private, point-to-point connections between Montreal and strategic cloud on-ramps in US East 1 (Northern Virginia) and US East 2 (Ohio), with up to 10 gigabit long haul ethernet connectivity and round-trip times (RTT) times as low as 12.1 milliseconds.
“Many Canadian customers require long-haul connectivity to US regions that are in close proximity to their traffic’s point of origin. With Beanfield HYPERroute – Canada’s lowest latency trans-border cloud network, we are now able to support those customers by offering low latency and highly available services that meet the requirements of enterprise-grade applications. HYPERroute effectively makes eStruxture’s MTL-1 Data Center the prime connectivity hub for US East Cloud Service Zones,” says Todd Coleman, President and CEO of eStruxture Data Centers.
“Low latency, high-performance network connectivity is vital for businesses that require hybrid-cloud solutions and high-performance computing power. Beanfield HYPERroute delivers the lowest latency path to US cloud on-ramps as well as the redundancy and freedom to migrate between regions on-demand. By partnering with eStruxture, we are able to expand the availability of our HYPERroute service to Montreal and open the market up to cloud services at a scale that can only be found south of the border,” explains Kal Benedict, Vice President of Sales at Beanfield Technologies.
