Carma Empowers Cirion Technologies to Deliver Revolutionary Network-as-a-Service in Latin America

As the Latin American cloud market prepares to surge from $63 billion in 2025 to $125 billion by 2030, the demand for agile, scalable infrastructure has never been greater. To meet the real-time requirements of the cloud and the rising adoption of Agentic AI, rigid, legacy connectivity models must evolve. Driving this transformation is Carma, the leading Network and Digital Infrastructure platform, which is playing a pivotal role in powering Cirion Technologies’ newly launched Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) platform.

Carma’s innovative technology aggregates over two dozen functions into a single system, establishing it as a foundational AI platform for the telecommunications and data center industry. In this groundbreaking initiative, Carma successfully developed and integrated sophisticated API-based interfaces that seamlessly bridge Cirion’s digital service platform with Ciena’s Navigator Network Control Suite. This crucial integration enables the automated provisioning of wavelength services across Cirion’s massive 105,000-kilometer fiber optic and subsea footprint.

By leveraging Carma’s advanced orchestration capabilities, Cirion can now dynamically allocate optical resources, validate service feasibility, and activate customer circuits entirely without manual intervention. This technological integration streamlines the entire service lifecycle, drastically reducing enterprise delivery times from weeks or days to near real-time. Enterprise customers can now order, configure, and scale high-capacity network services through a self-service portal, enjoying the elasticity and pay-as-you-use models previously reserved only for cloud computing.

“We’re proud to support Cirion as they transform their network into a fully automated, service-on-demand platform. By connecting Cirion’s portal to Ciena’s Navigator Network Control Suite through modern APIs, we’ve created a scalable foundation that will support rapid product expansion and future NaaS innovation.” –  Frank McDermott, Chief Executive Officer of Carma

This collaborative launch establishes a new standard for Latin American digital infrastructure. Through Carma’s intelligent orchestration and robust foundation, the region’s enterprises are gaining unprecedented network agility, proving that Carma continues to be the primary driving force behind the telecom industry’s transition to a fully automated, service-on-demand future.
